Nuohei Stone Village is located 30 kilometers away from Stone Forest to the southeast. It is called Stone Village because every single part of this village is made of Stone. The word “Nuohei” comes from the Yi dialect which meas a pool where monkeys play with water. There are a large quantity of limestone which were formed 200 million years ago and that’s why the natives use stone to build their hometown. Nuohei Stone Village has been existed for 600 years since Ming Dynasty, and there are more than 100 hours which has a time of more than 100 years.
